thanks Cajunmike for the reply, im so darn naive to expect that these kinds of watches lasts forever without the need for servicing, kinda embarassing hehehe anyway in this side of the world, Philippines..Omega service center charges the equiv of $214 overhaul inclusive of inside parts to be replaced, buffing....the blue on the bezel has already faded...it costs $234 to replace it, is it that expensive?!....still have to check out other reputable watch shops here hoping to get a more reasonable price....thanks again!
: Sounds like it needs servicing. Service is recommended every 3-5
: years on mechanical watches. If you are in the states, I
: recommend sending it to Womble Watch works in Atlanta GA, or
: Nesbits in Seattle. Also, look for a good local watchmaker in
: your area that can service it. Authorized Omega service will
: probably cost you in the $300 range if you don't replace
: cosmetic parts like crystal or bezel. Congrats on getting 11
: good years out of it. Time to give it a spa treatment.
