Re: Buying an old Omega Seamaster, need quick tips!

I would advise you purchase a watch from a watch seller and not from a fashion magazine. The translated description is remarkably devoid of any but appearance-based description. Buying a vintage watch, by necessity, is primarily a concern with the mechanical operations of the watch.

Generally, you want an age, a description of the movement calibre, a good photograph of the movement (from which you can often discern condition and age), and a good photograph of the inside of the caseback (which often shows the model number and service history). I will observe you have almost none of these in this case.

Find another watch with these details and we can tell you much about the it.
