Re: Thinking of purchasing a new Seamaster

: Hi there. This is my first post on this forum. Any help is most
: appreciated.

: I've used my father's Constellation (from the 1960s) for the last
: few years, and now I'm thinking of purchasing my own Omega.
: I'm interested in the Aqua Terra Mid Size Chronometer. I saw it the
: other day at the Omega store on Fifth Avenue, and I thought it
: looked neat.

: My questions are:

: 1-- Do you recommend this watch as something that I might pass on
: to my children--as my dad had done with his?
: 2-- Do I have to pay the price of the Omega store (around $4,700,
: plus tax) or is there any other way that I can get it at a
: discount??

: Thanks. O

1- yes; the design is clean and timeless, in the same was the Constellation was.

2 - the Omega Boutiques have a policy of no discounts. Two suggestions: first, try an authorized dealer, most of whom will discount somewhat. Second, consider a preowned watch from this or another watch forum.
