Best way to send watch for service?

Thanks for the reply. I finally made up my mind to send it. I sent it via Purolator using overnight shipping on the reasoning that the faster it gets there, the less opportunity for anything to happen to it. Purolator would have fully insured the watch (for @ $3.25 per hundred) but I only insured it for $1000 (for obvious reasons, but it left a real knot in my gut to take that chance). FedEx and UPS would only insure it for $500 and DHL wouldn't even ship it (because it's "jewelry"). I put it on a cushion in an old Bulova box (didn't want to take the chance with the Omega box as I thought I read somewhere that Omega might not return it). I then wrapped it tightly in bubble wrap in a fairly new and sturdy 7" x 10" x 8" box. Anyway, it got there okay (and they have since sent it on to Bienne). Looks like it may be a while....
