Speedy clasp part no.

After a lot of research, including hours spoent on this site, I have bought a second-hand 2002 Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50.00. I was originally seeking a new 3870.50.31, but when I saw the used 3570.50.00 in an authorised dealer I made my Omega purchase sommer than expected and got a really nice, fully reconditioned watch [1].

However, I am still enchanted with eh idea of a black leather strap. I got a P&A for these from my dealer, and the prices for genuine Omega straps are pretty high (especially the croc one!). As we all know, quality straps are available for less and I have picked one up and am awaiting delivery of a spring bar tool to do the mod.

What I am having trouble with is identifying which deployment clasp is used on the 3870.50.31 and what its part number might be. I have checked the straps article on this site, but it doesn't tell us which models ship with which clasps. Can anyone help? Aside from the actual strap, it would be nice to keep my Speedy as authentic as possible.

Cheers,

Nige.
