Omega repair: disaster?

I wonder if any "veterans" will have words of wisdom. I recently bought a Speedy Day-Date from an AD in London. Now there was a fleck of dirt under the sapphire crystal, and I was advised by the AD to send it to Omega's service centre in Easleigh.

After 3 and a half weeks, my one week old speedy was retrurned, with four minor scratches on the underside at the point where the bracelet inserts onto the body of the watch. (The casing is also on "upsidedown" which is irritating).

This may sound fairly petty, but it is a �1450.00 watch...I didn't spend that for a scratched case!

Any pearls of wisdom, anyone? Also, does anyone know if the service centre, after repair, will pressure test for water resistancy to the desired depth?
