It's Definitely Not The Heat...

It's not the heat. As Turbinator said, your watch probably became magnetized. 4 seconds fast per minute is the equivalent of 4 minutes fast per hour, which is more than my Bond SMP gains in six months. I live in Florida where it's sweltering from May through September, too, so my watch is used to excessive heat.

To check for magnetization, hold a compass over the caseback. If the needle moves, your watch has become magnetized. A competent watchmaker can fix this quickly and easily without even taking the watch apart.
