I was mainly after...

: 1) Owner states it to be a 67' at first, then
: 68' era cal 321.
: 2) SN dates the watch to 64-65'
: 3) Wrong caseback.
: 4) Hands might not be original to the watch.
: 5) Movement looks genuine enough, but I might not be qualified to make this statement.

I was mainly after the inconsistancies in the seller's prose(description), the fact the watch has a 1969 caseback when we know that c.321 production ceased in October of 1968, and the Serial number traces back to an earlier production year for the c.321 (which is not always a deal breaker BTW).

To answer Pieter's thought. Most people do refer to Pre-Moon Speedmasters as Moonwatches too, even though a more correct term would be "Pre-Moon Moonwatch" or "Moonwatch Line Speedmaster" or somesuch.
