Seamaster winding with the crown *PIC*

So I recently got a Seamaster diver (2254, cal. 1120). At first the watch was a bit fast and had to send it back to get it calibrated. It's much better now but I'm having problems getting the watch fully wound (via the crown) as I am trying to confirm its accuracy. I don't wear the watch a whole lot so it'd be nice knowing how to do this.

The Omega manual is completely useless and doesn't tell me anything on how to properly wind it. I have the crown in pos. 1 and turn it clockwise but when I do, the crown just screws back into the case. Does anybody know how to do this? Should there be some sort of pressure felt as I'm turning the crown? How would I know when it's fully wound?

Suggestions much appreciated. Thx.
