Postage to Bienne from UK

Guys,

First can I say how it is utterly disgraceful John's AD has been treated. Disgraceful.

I have a question, to those based in the UK. I have had THE most awful time (pardon the pun!)dealing with the UK Service centre based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. I have now decided that once I get my Speedy Day-Date back from Eastleigh, the next time I need something done to the watch (servivce, repair, etc) I will send it to the workshop in Bienne, Switzerland.

Has anyone out there sent their watch to Switzerland lately? What carrier did you use and was the watch adequately insured by the carrier. Also, without wanting to be intrusive, roughly how much did it cost to carry to Bienne, and what was your turnaround time (heh heh, pardon the pun, again!).

Many thanks my friends,
Nafees
