with an Omega certified watchmaker on site. Just recently, my GMT was loosing about 12 sec/day (that's about 6 min/month). It was nearing the end of the warranty, so I took it to the watchmaker. He put it on the vibrograph, confirmed the rate error, and said he would regulate it under warrany, and to come back in 3 days to pick it up.

3 days later, it was done and it has been keeping time to about -2 sec/day. The watchmakers vibrograph indicated a rate error of +3 sec/day, which goes to show you how the "real world" rate errors can disagree considerably from the "measured" rate errors. I have not found any stroage position which matches the vibrograph rate. But, I'm not complaining.

I doubt I will ever send my watch to Bienne for for ANY sort of repair, unless no local watchmaker could do it.
