Re: Difference between Spd Moonphases???

: Hi all
: I apologize if this is incredibly obvious: I
: cannot tell what difference there is between
: 2 Speedmaster Pro Moonphase watches. One is
: Ref 3576.50.00; and the other is Ref
: 3575.20.00
: Obviously one has a black dial and one a white
: dial; and the white dial has broad arrow
: hands: I cannot see any difference other
: than the hands. Would that alone account for
: a price difference of about $2000?
: Thanks a lot,
: David

Hi David,

I posted the same question a while back on timezone. As Alfredo said, the black dial model has a dispay back and retails for $4250. The white dial model has a steel caseback and retails for $5400. The price difference has to do with the fact that the white dial model has a white gold bezel and its dial is considered more "upscale". Personally, I think it's a sin that the white dial model lacks a display back. I'd rather have that than a white gold bezel, but, hey, that's just me. The black dial version looks more like the Moon Watch, has a sapphire display back, and costs $1150 less, so in my mind there's no question I'd choose this one over the white dial version. Just my 2 cents...
