Help! Seamaster GMT Hour Hand Problem

I just bought a brand new Seamaster GMT (model 2234.50.0). It was purchased from a grey market dealer with all papers (I didn't know better since I only started searching this site extensively after purchasing it).

After a few days, it seems to have developed a weird problem with the HOUR hand. I like to set the 24 hr hand to GMT, and the hour hand to local time.

I noticed that occasionally (like once or twice in a couple of days) the hour hand slips backwards or lags by one or two hours. I haven't actually observed it happening, but I'll look at my watch after a few hours of not paying attention to it, and note that the hour hand is 1 or 2 hours behind. The 24 hr hand, seconds, and minutes are not affected, and right on the hacked time. Thus, this is not the GMT-hand problem discussed in the Omega Troubleshooter page.

I suspect it is a loose gearing perhaps??

Has anyone else heard of this sort of problem? I wore the watch for 3 days straight before it happpened, and took care to wind the watch 15 times clockwise as recommended by the Omega web site, so I don't think it's a power reserve issue.

The dealer is reputable (58 years in business selling high end watches) but is there anything I should specify or be weary of with the repair?? I do love the watch as it is exactly what I need, but I need to be sure it will be fixed properly as accurate time is very important in my profession (pilot).

Thanks very much for any advice.
