PloProf rubber madness ! *PICS*

Hi Guys,

We all know the PloProf watch.

When I bought mine, I was really lucky. I bought it from the original owner. He was neither a watch person nor an "abuser". The watch looks almost like new & came with it's original owners manual. It was fitted with an 1162 bracelet ( looks like a speedy MK II bracelet)

I had a Mesh for it & started to look for an Isofrane ( Rubber strap ).

Everyone knows that they were available in Dark Blue / Black ( See the above pic ).

But, I also have a catalogue showing it on a Yellow Isofrane

& there were rumours of a Red Isofrane also being available.

Over the years I have only ever seen 1 red & a few Dark Blue/Black Isofranes. They are rare !

A few weeks ago an eBayer offered the following items ( seller pics used... so if you want copies take them now )

The seller had 3 Blue straps. I expected the straps to fetch a "good" price & was prepared to go upto about $200.... WRONG !!!

The cheapest went for $560 & the most expensive for $1080 !!

Total price for 5 straps ?

$ 3840 yes ! USD

Most of them went to 1 buyer, but the yellow "escaped" to someone in Italy....

I think I need a beer now

S.
