In theory, yes. In reality, the co-axial hasn't been around long enough for us to say that it is more reliable or more accurate than the 1120. The co-axial escapement is designed to reduce friction, which (in theory) should give the watch better long term accuracy and allow the watch to go longer between servicings. My personal opinion is that the current 1120 Seamaster is a better bargain. Mine has been 100% reliable and has been very accurate for the past 4 years, so I wouldn't pay an extra $900 to upgrade to the co-axial at this point. This is just my opinion, though.
