What's an extra year warranty from retailer worth?

One of the major AD retailers in the Northeast region is having a sale on some of their watches, including Omega. In addition to the sale. which provides a nice discount, the retailer extends the manufacturer's warranty for 1 year on all their Swiss watches. Now the dilemma is, although the discount provided the the retailer is pretty good and by itself would only be marginally more than getting a watch from an out of state AD, I can save on tax if ordering from out of state. I'm looking at the SMP (2531.80 or 2254.50) which both have MSRP of $2,150 for the full size model.
Do others here think an extra year warranty provided by the retailer is worth it? Of course if I was looking at a Co-Axial movement model, then the upwards swing in MSRP would favor the out of the state dealer, but with the MSRP of the SMP, it gets a bit trickier.
