Re: Early Omega pocket watch
In Response To: Re: Early Omega pocket watch ()

Hi Jock,
Why not ask for a (real good) watchmaker to have a look at your precious timepiece ?
Watch out for official Omega dealers !!! They are good, but they will ship your watch to an official omega store /factory & they will do what THEY think is necessary, you will only have to pay the bill..... with an unknown amount on it.
I therefore prefer the watchmaker that has no official link with any brand, but does know what he is doing.
Will take you some time to find out (try this forum ?) but is worth the execise.
In Antwerp Belgium, I know a guy tha'll do it for approx $50.
Goldplated : no shop around that will re-plate it for you ? Choice for 3 - 5- 10 - 10+ microns ?

Have another adress in the vicinity of Antwerp ;-)

kindest regards, Bert
PS : the 3 url's are links to pics I have made from my watch, using "photobucket"
