Re: Manually winding and automatic movement

It think varies from watch to watch. Fortunately, around 20 times works for two of my watches.
I don't want to sound like an alarmist here, but leaving the crown unscrewed isn't such a great idea either. This leaves your watch more exposed to the environment, however, I can see your dilemma. If you screw on the crown, you are liable to destroy the the threads and gaskets, but if you leave the crown unscrewed, you leave your watch exposed to the environment. Hmmmm. . . , I really can't say which is the better of both options!

: I thought it would require way more than 20
: times to have enough power to last 24 hours
: since I know there are days when I wear the
: watch for 1-2 hours and I've been walking
: the entire time non-stop and it doesn't seem
: to last 24 hours before the watch completely
: stops so I always ended up leaving the crown
: unscrewed so I can manually wind it when
: necessary.

: Cheers,
