Re: Clarification of SMP model numbers *LINK* *PIC*

: I've been looking for a full size automatic SMP
: with the electric blue dial and stainless
: steel bezel on the Bond (not Speedy)
: bracelet. I've seen several model numbers
: which I'd like confirmation on: 2255.80 - I
: think this is the electric blue on Speedy
: bracelet.
: 2055.80 - I think this is the electric blue on
: Bond bracelet.

Correct.

: Now for the mystery. The following watch was
: offered to me and the Seller says it's
: called the 55.80. He says it's called both a
: 2055.80 and a 2255.80. But, notice it has
: the 2531.80 dark blue Bond dial. Is this a
: real watch or a Franken?

Have a look here - http://www.chronocentric.com/omega/seamaster.shtml#black

I don't know what model number that watch is, but it is not the number the seller is claiming it to be.

: The bottom line is, what's the model number of
: the watch I'm looking for? electric blue,
: stainless bezel, full size auto on Bond
: bracelet? Thanks for setting me in the right
: direction.

Ray,
The model numbers and descriptions you have are correct. The model you are looking for is indeed the model 2055.80.00, which can still be found on Omega's website at the link below. It was discontinued in 2003 and replaced with model 2255.80.00, but for some reason it is still on Omega's website.
