There is a reason why it's called "The Grail"...

I have been looking for this watch for sometime - Is this a pipe dream? Should I move on?

Thanks - Scott

Most owners, myself included, have tales of the length and breadth of their quest to obtain one of these which is typically epic in nature. Those who are not owners usually don't understand unless they have sought an example. The search typically becomes an obsession.

Hence the nickname: The Grail. If it was an "easy get" it would be called something different.

In my collecting pursuits, I've only searched for one other watch for a longer period of time than The Grail... And that too is a tale in and of itself...

No one (save Omega) knows for sure how many of these were made, but there are still hundreds out there I'd guess. So I wouldn't give up, but set aside funds as this model is rapidly climing through the $4k range when offered on eBay. Eventually, you'll build up enough money where you have a reserve and still can pursue other watches.

Remember landing a Grail will take effort, perserverence and money. Be prepared to move when opportunity arises.
