It's not a fake. it's real.

Hi Sully,

please excuse the delay.

The watch is definatley genuine, but it is probably not new.

This watch has an f300 tuning fork movement, which were prodced from around '72 - '77. so the watch is about 30 years old.

The 2-tone watch on the left page here seems to be a good match

& the description a plain stainless Steel version was available. This pic is from a 1975 Catalogue.

Is it worth $590 ?

I'd say "it could be"....

To be worth $590 it HAS to be running & running accurately. The date HAS to change ( & you have to test all 31 days ). f300 repairs are not easy & many watchmakers won't touch them, hence they are also not the cheapest watches to repair. Date wheels are almost impossible to find, so if you have a problem there, you either live with it or look for another (cheaper) f300 that you take the date wheel from.

If the watch is running without problem & there is some sort of guarantee I'd say it is worth $590.

But you have to realize that you are buying a 30 year old watch, with 30 year old technology in it.

All the Best

Steve
