In Response To: 33XX problems *PIC* ()

: I was quite concerned to hear about 33XX having
: accuracy problems. Is this problem unique to
: this caliber, can anyone tell me about my
: OMEGA of 3606 movement..picture enclosed

The 3606 caliber in your new Speedmaster Day-Date is in no way related to the 33xx series. As Steve said, your watch used to be powered by caliber 1151. However, when Omega recently upgraded the Day-Date to chronometer status, they changed the movement number to 3606. It is still a modified ETA/Valjoux 7751 movement that has a great record for durability and reliability.

The 33xx series is based on a Piguet column wheel chronograph movement, and these movements have indeed had a questionable track record. I'd much rather have the 3606 caliber in your watch than a 33xx movement.

So, rest easy...you have a great watch with a great movement. Enjoy it!!
