Howdy all, I just recently purchased a new Seamaster Pro Ti from an online dealer (Jomashop.com). The serial number on the back is intact, and it matches the hang tag that came on the watch as well. (The red dot seal was broken however, im not sure what to think about that for the watch has no signs of wear)
My question is with the hang tag specifically. I was under the impression that all SMPs were certified chronometers correct? According to the red Omega manual, there is a specific symbol for watches that are certified (a little rectangle symbol with COSC in it). However, my hang tag does not have this symbol.
Now according to the COSC regulations, a watch cannot don the word "Chronometer" on it unless it has passed the COSC certification.
So i guess my question is, did i just get a hang tag that forgot to have that symbol on it? Im afraid i wont be able to request the certificate from Omega because this is a grey market watch, no warranty card.
