Just thought I'd share the "before" pictures of my grandfather's old Omega chrono that I found in a pile of junk my father has been tilling for the past couple of decades. I haven't seen any photos of any others online, so please feel free to share if you have any similar watches.
The movement is a cal.320 that appears to be missing a number of the chrono pieces. The case is 35mm "Staybrite steel" (doesn't look it...). The rose gold hands and silver textured dial look immaculate behind the really bad hesalite. The pushers have lost their plating and are frozen in.
I'm in the process of pricing out restorations and am currently stuck between Omega themselves, who need to handle the watch to give me any kind of idea at all, and a regular watchmaker here in the states who - hopefully - will be able to dig up all the needed (and correct) parts. It needs work, but I'm thinking this one might just be rare enough to justify the cost (which could run anywhere from $500-$1k+)...
