Spending $500 in travel money to look at a Speedy 50th at an AD that might not give you a full 30% discount, and won't be as knowlegable as the "AD in DC" no matter what.

Spending 10 grand on a manual wind coax movement, when you could have the same movement with automatic wind in a Speedy or Seamaster for less than HALF of that.

For that matter, 10 grand is MORE than enough to get you a used Speedmaster "Grail" Moonwatch, which ANYONE would want more than a Speedy 50th.

Finally, buying a watch like this through e-Bay, where outright fakes, Frankenwatches, and used stuff is pawned off as NIB all the time???
