Craig, I agree with you, the Coax is not long enough in the arena. But it's a good one, I love my AT Coax and it's extremely accurate.

Bottom line: Currently, the 2254 is probably the mechanical three-hand watch with the very best price/value ration worldwide. You get a rugged movement, chronometer certification, and a solid, well made watch case with turning bezel and loads of lume to guarantee functionality. Other S/S watches with similar specs and similar quality cost 50 - 200% more.

P. S. It hasn't been phased-out, but it probalby will be by end of 2007. A couple of months ago I talked to a sales manager at Omega Switzerland, and he wasn't very chatty, but what he DID tell me was the fact, that the 2254 and the smaller 2252 will be available until end of 2007.
