Seamaster Apnea- To buy or Not to Buy !

Here's my question- I really like the Seamaster Apnea and am looking to buy it. The reason I havent bought it already is that I read some not-so-good reviews about it on the internet. A common complaint was that it was inaccurate and lost/ gained large amounts of time. The reason given was that Omega has been comtemplating discontinuing the Apnea for some time now and production runs have been small. Thus, the stock available with most stockists is old and needs to be serviced immediately upon purchase.
It would be great to get your opinion on the Apnea and its problems (if any)!
