The rest of you can just talk amongst yourselves I guess...
In 1999 while browsing in a watch store, I saw what I thought was
the most beautiful watch I'd ever seen. The Omega Seamaster
Professional, 2254.50. Remember when the watch wasn't even
available in the US? Remember it came on the Bond style bracelet
down there, and people were scrambling to find one on the Speedy
style bracelet, available only in Canada and abroad?
Well, I bought it. That single act started me on a course of
buying, selling and trading that resulted in my probably owning a
hundred different watches over the years. About five years ago, I
gave my oldest son the 2254 for a gift. I spent the next five
years, trying to replicate that feeling I had almost ten years
ago, and was unsuccessful.
A few days ago, I had an epiphany. "Get, another one!". That's
exactly what I did. It arrived this morning, and I couldn't be
happier. I said it then and I'll say it now, "Arguably the best
looking watch Omega or anyone else, has ever made."
Brand spanking new, right out of the box...
Nothing left to do now, but retire from all this I guess.
