Re: SS Bezel on 300M Chrono?
In Response To: Re: SS Bezel on 300M Chrono? ()

: I might be missing something but where do you
: see the original poster asking for a white
: face. I thought he was asking to replace the
: original bezel with a black one. I just
: wanted to help before he began dealing with
: a company (Omega) who is losing most of its
: dealers, has terrible service and could
: absolutely care less about the customer.
: Have you ever tried dealing with them when a
: problem occurs ? If not Just wait. There is
: no need to get rude I thought a forum was a
: place to express you opinion good or bad.
: Sorry if I offended you but I just wanted to
: share my personal experience with Omega.

My apologies -- another thread which had just been active was concerning a 300M and putting a white face on the watch as on the 300M so called "Great White" GMT model. This thread, which you actually responded to, was three days old and had slipped out of my consciousness.

My sentiments about your post were thus improperly introduced.

However, my sentiments about your post were nonetheless accurate.

The proper introduction should have been: The OP asked about titanium versus stainless steel and about customizing a watch. What does that have to do with buying a Submariner?

If you wish to complain about your experience with Omega service, you may find you have a willing audience. Most of us have one sort of a story or another. (As do most Rolex owners . . . )

Just don't hijack a thread to do so -- start your own. Your hijacking was the only rudeness here, and perhaps I shouldn't point it out.

Please post here all you want. Expressing your opinions, even if they are negative to the brand, is welcome.

But if you are going to bash Omega, please make sure you get your facts right.

Your own experience with Omega service -- you are the final and only authority. Speak your piece (but in your own thread).

Regarding dealer cancellations: Omega is cutting dealers which do not have sufficient volume and are not willing to increase their minimum purchases. It has been speculated this may be as many as 15% of Omega ADs.

Some dealers so cut are stating they dropped Omega. I imagine this is what you are seeing and hearing.

Hope to hear from you

Sam
