Re: Omega Constellation
In Response To: Omega Constellation ()

: On 9/1/07 I purchased a preowned Omega
: Constellation Model 1202.30.00 from an
: Authorized Dealer. It came with a 1 year
: warrantee. Since then I have not had it on
: my wrist for longer than a week. It has been
: back to the dealer 4 times . The watch was
: slow 3x then fast. I finally insisted that
: they send it to Omega. They sent it to the
: Swatch Repair facility ( Omega is a division
: of Swatch). They did a complete overhaul. It
: came back and was keeping good time but
: sadly no power reserve. So I just sent it
: back to them under their two year warrantee.
: I wonder if this is usual. I verified with
: Omega that the watch was sold to the dealer
: in 2001.
Sounds like a run of bad luck- my experiances (relevant to your problems) are quite different. My 1202.30.00 is <2 seconds fast, 40+ hour reserve.
Repair wise, I sent a Seamaster to Bienne for running 20 secs slow, came back fine and they had adjusted the date change (which I was happy with at 15 min after, now <2 min early). I'd hang in there, sounds like your dealer is trying. remember about the squeeky wheel and all.
