What It Means to Us . . .

Several good things have happened for Chronocentric this week:

  • We have migrated to a new server, for all the Forums . . . Forums should have blazing fast response times from the server / fast pages, whether viewing or posting
  • our "techie", Randy Byrd, seems to have mastered the code, both for the Forums and for Chronocentric itself . . . meaning that we can launch new forums, make some improvements in the ones we have, and make other improvements in Chronocentric (and OnTheDash)
  • Our new hosting company seesm to offer excellent support, so we should be able to address the little glitches more quickly
  • We have learned that there are new upgrades of our beloved forum software, even though the development of this software was abandoned in 2002. We will be very cautious in making any changes in the look and feel of these Forums, but some of the features of the upgraded forum software look very promising.

Those are a few of the highlights; once we are confident that all is well on the new server, and that are readers are getting to the right destination, we can begin to roll out some enhancements.
