I used to own an omega speedmaster day date chrono...mk 40 I believe. I bought the watch in amsterdam about 7 years ago while on vacation. Nonetheless I love(d) that watch but had some problems with it. Firstly I must add that I had an accident with it where the crystal got smashed when I fell on gravel trying to save my cat from hanging himself. I got it fixed by omega but after that it was never the same. It lost time...and use of the chrono seemed to affect the time as well. After numerous attempts to fix it I sold it. To this day...it's still the only watch I love and am contemplating buying a new one...now cosc certified so hopefully more accurate. Should excessive use of the chrono affect the time?
