No, it will not damage the watch.

Adjusting the timing would be inexpensive -- under $50. A watchmaker with the equipment can do it in about 10 minutes.

Routinely servicing a "complicated" watch, such as a chronograph is a good bit more. It may be as much as $350, although there are those who do it for much less.

Give us an area and we may be able to recommend someone if you need a full service.
