Re: Some Info & a suggestion.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your kind answer.

This omega was my father's omega. He gave it to me a couple of weeks before he passed away last year. This watch was bought around 1969, the year of my birth date.
The watch needed some maintenance although my father changed the band (this model is not usually presented with this metal band, but rather with a rubber one I guess). I sent it to Omega Switzerland (I live in France) for the glass replacement and for a general revision including tightness (I am a diver). Unfortunately, some weeks after I had it back to my wrist, I stupidly (and involuntary) disassembled the bezel from the case while playing with it with my nails... It appeared impossible to re-assemble these parts since some part in the case was twisted (this is why I am also looking for the case).
As mentioned previously, this was not my own Omega (we are all "Omega" in the family, my brother and I having a Speedmaster pro). This is a kind of tradition now and my son and nephews are about to have their own one! But I feel more at ease with the Seamaster. It is lighter, more discrete and ... automatic!
Once again, thanks a lot for your answer,
All the best,

Olivier
