Re: I don't know them
In Response To: I don't know them ()

Thanks for your response Steve. I'm located in the USA, just outside of Atlanta, GA.

When I filled out the contact form on their website, they came back and said they were based out of Toronto, Canada. Their address and phone number is listed on the site, but you have to search around for it. I've contacted them several times and usually get a response the next day. I searched everywhere I could find and couldn't find any information about them on the internet except for a few inquiries like mine which typically had no responses.

I'm interested in a Seamaster model number 2501.81.00. I first saw the watch in a retail store around 1999. I really liked it, but didn't buy (and have been kicking myself ever since). To the best of my knowledge, it went out of production in 2003. Occasionally, I search the internet to see if one pops up for sale at an online retailer or used watch center. The last time I did this was about 2 years ago. Something got me started again and I did a search last week and that particular model came up as "in stock" at the website I posted. Very odd, so I emailed them to confirm and they said it really was in stock. Their price is way high (due to being in Euro), but it got me all worked up at the prospect of being able to buy it again.

I've since spent a little time on eBay and came across several closed auctions for this watch. I think my next focus is to start watching eBay more closely.

As far as used watches go, as long as the watch is in great condition and not in need of major repair, I'd definitely consider it. I always ask every Omega dealer I come across if they have one, but the answer is always no. New would be perfect, but given the years since production stopped, I'd think finding a new one is almost impossible.

How would I get in touch with the forum AD here in the USA?

Thanks for your time,
Robert
