Mystery Speedmaster?

Good day everyone. I've got a bit of mystery with this watch and I was wondering if anybody can chime in.

So...it's a Speedy Pro, with a 1450 bracelet and a wooden box. The mystery lies with the engraving on the side of the case. The inscription reads 0890/2000. This is similar to the 3 different versions of the Apollo XI 20th anniversary edition, but without the "Apollo XI" engraving. Also - I *think* that the large wooden box came with the limited edition Speedmasters. This is not the first one of these watches that I have seen, but I have never found out exactly what they are. I have bumped into other people that have also seen them and also don't know which edition they are.

The dial font, bracelet and owners manual seem to make this a late 80's - early 90's Speedmaster, but that is about as much as I can figure out. The condition of the watch leads me to believe the originality.

Looking forward to any answers/theories/ideas.

Thanks - John
