Dear JB,
Have just read with interest your log. I bought my first Breitling 10 years ago. It is a B1 and is still going strong (it is serviced regularly)and I find all of the functions excellent from using the countdown timer to make the perfect cup of tea to using the stopwatch when timing shooting events. My wife also likes the idea that it "pings" on the hour (we have French carraige clock made in 1862 and it's timekeeping is not exactly brilliant).
However, I went and bought a Breitling "World" February just gone which is mechanical self winding and not quartz like the B1. Guess what! I prefer the "World" however, I have never even thought of buying into the Omega range. I've looked but that's all. I have to say that "love" is the word for me and Breitling.
