Hi Sam, I also have an Omega Railmaster that has stopped
: running and can't be coaked into starting. It is under warranty
: and I am preparing to send it to Omega in NJ. I bought it last
: Summer from a jewelery store and it too was on the same winder.
: The watch had received very little wrist time prior to its
: stopping, spending 90% of its time on the winder. It was new
: when purchased. Is it possible that this and the other two
: watches had suffered ill effects from being in a glass display
: case, under hot lights at their previous jewelry stores prior to
: my purchasing them? That was suggested by ML warranty repair
: when the ML stopped. The Maurice Lacroix and Omega were
: purchased at the same jewelry store, 1 1/2 years apart. I am
: currently not turning the winder on at all, simply winding the
: watches when I want to wear one of them. Is my fear of using the
: winder unwarranted? Thanks, Steve
The Dynamic chronograph has definately now got a shortened reserve power time it is now only staying wound for
seven hours or so, so it is off to the menders today. When it has been mended i am going to only run it on the auto winder for 4 hours a day.i will not risk the "overwinding" threat again,Thank's to all for your help,John,England,UK.
