Omega GMT

I have an Omega GMT with a 2528A movement. I have heard these movements have had some problems, the watch is still within its warranty and has recently been deviating outside of COSC spec, this can be quite erratic.

I have heard stories of Omega replacing these movements for the C version whilst undertaking ordinary servicing or warranty work.

Does anyone know if this is standard practice? I will be monitoring the watch over the coming weeks, I have to say I am quite concerned over the deviation of the time keeping.

Anybody's input would be greatly appreciated.
