Hi,

Yes the dial has been refinished. You can tell by the upper case and lower case lettering (which isnt too bad) but moreso by the Constellation star which does not have one of its points directly aiming at 12 o'clock. Also the index is slightly askew in some areas. Case 2782 with a 1954 (approx) serial number probably wasnt one of the 'No-name' Connies that were produced exclusively for the US, although there's a slim possibility.

Anyway, theres no way of knowling now as the dial is refinished.
