It's been what, about 18 moths now since Omega announced its "imminent" discontinuance, yet it remains readily available on AD shelves. For that matter, if I remember correctly it's wasn't even an explicit and formal announcement, just a vague statement that they would eventually be transitioning to all co-axial/"in-house" movements that was confirmed by reliable sources.
I really wonder if Omega either changed their minds when the rumors of cancellation led to increased demand, or else just had a huge existing stock that has yet to run out. There have even been darker speculations that it might have been some sort of attempt a guerrilla marketing intended to produce a "Daytona effect" of sorts for what is an otherwise unremarkable, regular production model.
