Before assuming that the watch was somehow especially for the wrist, pocket watches were produced in two variations.

Open faced or Lepine, with the winding stem (remontoir to use your term) at 12
Hunter cased or Savonette, designed to be in a covered face case, with the winding stem (remontoir) at 3

-- held in the right hand, a right-handed man pressing the case release in the crown (at 3) with his thumb would have the watch with 12 at the top in the correct position to be read
You are examining a hunter or Savonette pocket watch movement

Omega, to my knowledge, never had a regular production multi-time zone pocket watch.
