Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
I am offering for sale this very well preserved vintage model named G.G Cruiser from the 1970s by Swiss brand Technos, featuring a design typical of its era with an interesting textured brown dial with a colour gradient and its original stainless steel bracelet – just the right piece to make you feel transported back to the wild '70s, at least when you glance at your wrist.
Details:
► Distinctive all stainless steel TV-shaped container case (design comparable to the Seiko 7016-50xx models) with a brushed front/bezel, in very good used condition (clear contours, undamaged edges, only superficial signs of wear)
► Brown dial with an interesting, horizontally interrupted texture and colour gradient, as well as applied baton indices and logos, and fully intact luminous dots at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock
► Original handset, also with fully intact luminous dots
► Non-screwed crown with manufacturer’s logo
► Caseback with a clearly legible serial number and the central Technos emblem (often missing on other examples), it still has a few traces of the protective film I removed and will include, these can likely be removed during a professional case cleaning (since I did not disassemble the container-style construction, I refrained from using any cleaning agents)
► Well-preserved mineral crystal with a nice bevel and only a few superficial scratches that do not impair readability
► Swiss automatic movement with date display (21,600bph; I can’t say exactly which movement it is, but it should be an ETA), the movement starts and runs smoothly and keeps time with a deviation of approx. 10 seconds per day (measured laid down, service history unknown); the date mechanism and quick date adjustment also work flawlessly
► Solid original stainless steel bracelet with intricately bevelled links and precisely fitting end links, as well as a brushed clasp featuring the brand logo; suitable even for larger wrists with a circumference of more than 20cm
► Practical and brand-new travel and storage case made of Saffiano leather
Dimensions:
► Diameter: approx. 35mm without crown (the watch looks bigger on the wrist due to the shape of its case)
► Lug-to-lug: approx. 43mm
► Height: approx. 11mm
► Lug width: 21mm
Price:
I am asking EUR 240,- plus international insured shipping according to destination.
And now for the pictures:
The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.
Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me. Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).
Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!
Kind regards,
F.Antl
