I agree. I was pretty worried about mine when I first got it. It was consistently +6 / day no matter how I laid it at night. It was pretty frustrating. It's been about 2 1/2 months now and I checked it against the US Official time. To my disbelief, it was -43! I have found that crown down slows it and all other positions keep it fast.
I'm not into tinkering with $1000 watches so if you are like me, I would hold off before you break the seal. It should work itself out.
