1. It's my understanding that quartz watches ARE impacted by EMPs, and mechanicals are NOT.
2. My last statement about quartz versus mechanical selection could have been clearer, I guess. I meant quartz versus automatic among Omega choices only. I do recall that Roger Moore is probably more associated w/ Seiko as 007 than anything else. I won't question that selection for it's time (no pun intended)...
