Re: Trianlge at 12:00 does not line up

: OK, I went back to the dealer and he said they
: have no more of this omega watch and that
: after the holidays he'd send it back to
: omega for me (free of charge) and have it
: fixed. He said the watch will be gone 2-4
: weeks.

: OK, after reading above answer me this: Is it
: unreasonable for an authorized dealer not to
: take back a 6 day old watch that has been
: worn? This new watch of mine already has
: scratches on the band....this is what the
: dealer looked at and then said, "I
: cannot take this watch back." Is this
: unreasonable?

YES. A new watch will get scratches on it the first day you wear it, and your dealer knows this. What if it hadn't been the bezel and it had been a major problem with the watch, like it just stopped running and wouldn't start again? Do you think he'd say, "Well, tough luck, pal, but I can't take it back."? Maybe YOUR dealer would, but no true customer-oriented dealer would even contemplate doing this.

When a defect is noted so soon after a purchase, it is common practice for the dealer to take the watch back and swap it out for another. He will get FULL CREDIT from Omega regardless of the scratches on the watch. He is just trying to pawn off the hassle on you, rather than do what he should to keep you, the customer, happy. His behavior is inexcusible.
