The other day inadvertently I placed my 1.5 year old SMP 2254.50 next to my wallet with strong magnet money clip, and when I came back to my watch I noticed the watch was behind by about the same amount of time I was gone (about 1.5 hours). The watch has consistently kept good time up to this point, fast only about 5 seconds per day, and since the magnet episode it seems to be quite a bit faster, perhaps as much as 1 min/day. I’m content to wait it out for a while to see if it will calm down. Any ideas as to what I could have done to the watch movement to cause such a shift in accuracy? Should I get the watch serviced sooner rather than later? Thx
