Speedmaster Mark III bracelet

Dear all, can anybody shed some light on the 'correct' bracelet for a Speedy Mk III (ref. 176.002)?
In fact I tend to believe its case is larger than the Mark IV or the Mark 4.5, more similar to the Flightmaster, and I expect the lug-end size of the bracelet to be likewise bigger, 24mm instead of 22.
On the other hand all of the vintage Omega parts dealers state that the "usual" bracelet 1162 / 72, with 22mm lug size, fits for the Mark III as well.
Also Isnardi's book, considered by many the Bible on Speedys, agrees.
Since such bracelets are by no means cheap, can anyone confirm pls?
