Tell me you don't believe this??????
In Response To: Re: ROLEX vs OMEGA ()

I did
: not mean any harm to any one, just spoke my mind but it seems as
: if you guys are very sensitive about your toys. The only reason
: I can find for that is that you doubt your toys. And I cannot
: understand that. I NEVER said a Omega is a no good watch. Omegas
: are mass produced products whereas Rolex are handmade
: masterpieces.
But even Seiko makes good watches and Citizen
: makes a watch which is equal to any Omega. So, all of you have
: GOOD watches, very good, but far from the best. Cowboys don't
: cry, so wipe the tears from your eyes and start saving up for a
: new Rolex

You can't honestly believe that Rolex's are hand made? They sell more watches than any other Swiss watch maker, probably combined and you think they are hand made?? Just incredible lunacy. Oh, and by the way you can pick up any Grand Seiko and it will be equal if not better than any comparable Rolex. Now that is VFM.

Pieter, I don't think anyone took offense to the fact that you chose Rolex over Omega, its just that you chose to open your mouth and insert your foot. I often wonder why people waste their time with such nonsense. If you prefer Rolex to Omega, Im fine with that, but but don't come here saying that Rolex is a better vfm without any valid, substantiated, intelligent argument other than it cost more and is recognized more, so it must be. Like most of the people here I can afford Rolex, but choose to own Omega. Shocking, I know. I can afford a Jag, Porsche, Ferrari, but choose to drive a Chevy 2500 Truck. Again, shocking. Value for Money is all relative and subjective. Owning all of these things still does not make Rolex a better VFM than Omega.

Oh, and I don't think anyone here feels the need to defend Omega, we all know what kind of watch it is. It is you that felt the need to "stop by" and make idiotic comments and ridiculous claims. Why don't you go over to the AP forum (you do know what AP stands for, right?) and try this kind of bullcrap. You will get the same response. Oh, maybe you need to brush up on horology also. I wouldn't even put Rolex in the top 10 watchmakers in the world. A good watch, yes but with an average robust movement and substantially overpriced. Oh, and Rolex does buy some parts from the Swatch group if that makes you feel any better.
