Re: Changing the Subject ..... sort'a of
: Received my 'new' Seamaster 2589.30 yesterday. I say new as the
: plastic film Omega wraps around the entire case was intact as
: well as the pictograph, warranty card(dated 2005)by the jeweler
: and the chronometer card plus thick book of about 15 languages.
: All the stuff based on my buying new. Anyway I set the watch
: around 1400 hours Tuesday. It is now 0800 hours Wednesday and it
: hasn't lost or gained a beat. Beautiful watch. Great looking
: dial as opposed to all the 'blue' dial Seamasters. I'd say
: silver in color, the sub dials are slightly darker. Hands are
: big and bold, as are minute markers. Date at 6 is easy to read.
: The center sweep seconds hand as well as the hands in the
: subdials are all red tipped. Again easy to read. Comfort, very
: nice, the bracelet was sized perfectly for a 15mm tall watch. No
: flopping or sliding. Permanent seconds at 9. Satisfied? Yep.
Heck of a nice watch. Deadly accurate timekeeper. I traded for one of the black face/bezel models a few weeks ago. Its become a daily wearer.
I was somewhat concerned about the JP33XX movement as I've got a couple of others that have given trouble, seems Omega may have that problem
straighten out. I hope so.
Nice watch, hope you enjoy it.
